About the RSN
When I faced the prospect of a full rhinectomy in 2021 for invasive cancer treatment, I did what most people would at the time: I scoured the internet for useful information, looking for stories of other people's experiences on how to prepare and what to expect.

What I found was a severe lack of helpful info for rhinectomy patients, by rhinectomy patients, and little to help those facing it deal with both the psychological impacts and day-to-day care following the surgery. While not unheard of, rhinectomies are rare, and few people have openly posted tips and experiences unique to losing one's nose, or a substantial part of it.

I started this page to help collect that information, so it might be found and used by others facing the procedure. I'm also hoping it can help create a support network for those who have lost or are about to lose their nose. All ideas are welcome, and I hope we can help each other as we all march forward.
